Pits: Are They Born To Kill?

I have a friend on Facebook(We'll call him Mix Master) who lost his 14 month old boy in March (You can watch the news report here). It was a brutal attack  The little boy was at his Baby Sitters house when the dogs attacked. The Baby Sitter (Susan) claims that her dogs were loved, and cared for. Says she has never seen them act "Aggressive" towards anyone.
My friend Mix Master has been posting a number of comments saying things not in a favorable light towards Pits. He has ever right too! He's one person that has the right to want every Pit DEAD.
Today he posted a comment "Oh god..this just in. How horrible for this family...their family had to relocate cause of the tornados and then this happens.” . He had a link to a video that reported how a Bull Mastiff killed a child a few days ago. A friend of his (Leigh) commentedThese dogs are in truth, more unpredictable than actual wild animals. So heartwrenching, and people place them in homes with kids that they would never allow a stranger near, yet this breed is most strange. Is there not enough threats to our children today? There are more odds that the neighborhood pit will get your child before the neighborhood Cho Moe. Seriously.
I thought that he thought the Bull Mastiff was a Pit, so I commented, “The story above isn't about a Pitt-bull. Its about a Bull Mastiff.” Little did I know but that comment started a debate that spun over 15 people putting in their 2 cents.

Why did I feel the need to post a comment? I was a Pit owner. She (Koko) was mixed. Rottweiler/Pit-Bull. Remember, Pit-bull, is #1 when it comes to human attacks, Rottweiler, is #2. You would think that having a dog mixed with 2 of the most vicious dog breeds would be dangerous, right? I never saw it. My dog was the sweetest dog you ever met. She got a long great with Kids, Dogs and Humans. The only thing I didn’t like about her was she was too passive. One Halloween my friend came in the house wearing a mask, Koko (My Pit/Rott) starting shaking and peed on the floor. Vicious she was not!
But you might say “Rob you were lucky”. No I wasn’t. She was raised in a loving family. Never mistreated, and she was an inside dog.  I have no ill feelings towards Pits.
So I started adding links to my comments with different studies pertaining to pits, and in a good way. But everything I added, the “Pit Haters” would just shoot down. I really doubt any of them read the links. By the time it was all said and done, there were over 69 “Comments”, and mine were the only ones on the Pits side.
I’m not an expert on dogs. I don’t belong to any clubs, and I’ve never done research. But do you really think Pits are born to kill? Everyone in this Facebook post where strongly against the saying “Its not the breed, it’s the owner”
So I want to know what’s your opinion. I wont delete any comments, and I urge you to not hold back. Tell it like it is.

Does the money you donate really go to the victims?

American Red Cross

I saw a picture on facebook the other day titled "Think before you donate"
and it claimed that the CEO's of some of the biggest charities receive salaries like those of Fortune 500 companies. I immediately started searching google for facts. What I've come across is crazy.
The first charity Im gonna speak on is "The Red Cross". We all know who they are. When a disater happens we've seen the ad "Text #### to donate $10 to the Red Cross". They are one of the worst! In 2001 after the "9/11" attacks, Red Cross(Bernadine Healy was CEO and she was the one who came up with the Liberty Fund idea) raised over $500 million dollars for what they called "The Liberty Fund". When the fund raiser was closed in Oct of 2001 they only dispense 30% to affected familes. On 11/06/01there was a Congressional Hearing, and pretty much the outcome was lame. Red Cross offered to give back donations to anyone who asked, and they still plained on using over $200 million for future disasters.

“…the money would be used for the specific requirements outlined and approved by our board, which were the events related to Sept. 11 and to the aftermath, the healing of America, the preparations for future attacks…”      Bernadine Healy Congressional Testimony

Bernadine Healy made this fund without her boards approval. All she was saw was dollar signs. Not a bad move for someone already making over $500,000 a year in salary.
After the "Oklahoma City Bombing" Red Cross raised over $12 Million. Out of that only $2.6 million was giving to Oklahoma City.
This is a company that that we trust? When I pledged money to them I thought the victims would receive that money. They only receive $1 out of every $10 donated. Its safe to say I wont ever donate another penny to The Red Cross.

The United Nations Children's Fund

The UNICEF is  an organization located in New York that provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries. Their CEO is paid $500,000 a year (Plus use of a Royles Royce for his personal use where ever he goes) and its rumored that he gets a $150,000 expense account.
Only pennies from the actually donations go to the UNICEF cause.

So next time you decide to make a donation, do a little background check. You might be donation your hard earn money to an over-paid CEO.

  • As of 2010, Marsha J. Evans, was no longer employed by the American Red Cross. According to United Press International, Gail McGovern took over as CEO of the American Red Cross in 2008 at an annual salary of $500,000 plus a signing bonus of $65,000.
  • Brian Gallagher is still President and CEO of United Way, and currently earns $1,037,140 a year, according to a December 2010 report from the American Institute of Philanthropy.
  • W. Todd Bassett is no longer National Commander of the Salvation Army. The current National Commander, Israel L. Gaither, is paid somewhere between $79,389 and $243,248 annually for his services. (Since the Salvation Army, as a religious organization, doesn't report its expenses to the IRS, the only available figures for executive salaries are estimates, which vary greatly from source to source.)
  • UNICEF's Executive Director, Anthony Lake, earns $201,351 a year, according to a 2010 communique from the organization.
  • Dave Toycen, the President of World Vision Canada, earns $184,000 per year plus a "moderate vehicle allowance," according to that organization's annual report to the Canada Revenue Agency.

  • Taco Bell Employee Takes Photos Of himself Doing Disgusting Things To The Food

Taco Bell is in damage control mode after an employee posted a photo of himself licking taco shells.
    Courtesy of Facebook

The photo posted on social media went viral and even made it onto the company’s website. The employee is in the process of being fired and Taco Bell assures customers that the shells were never served.
According to MyFoxNY.com, Taco Bell officials didn’t specify how they knew the shells were not served to customers nor did they disclose where the restaurant was located.
In a statement, Taco Bell said, “We do not believe these employees harmed, or intended to harm, anyone. But we deplore the impressions this has caused to our customers, fans, franchisees, and team members.”
Today on Your World, attorneys debated whether the employee could actually face a lawsuit.  Elura Nanos believes that while this employee may not be able to pay up, suing him would show customers that Taco Bell is serious about handling the problem.
On the other hand, Michele Sileo said this isn’t a legal problem, it’s a public relations crisis. The message they apparently need to relay is: “We do not lick the merchandise.”
Jokes aside, Neil Cavuto questioned whether this is part of a larger problem. “Kids do goofy things, so how do I know this issue that came to light isn’t prevalent in a lot of places, and I just sort of take my chances when I go through the drive-thru and hope that the food hasn’t been licked?”
Taco Bell declined to specify whether the employees behind the photo were fired. "We will not tolerate this type of behavior, and particularly its impressions on our customers, fans, franchisees and team members." The statement says, "We are working with the franchisee to take appropriate action against everyone involved." You can read more at WGN.
Is that enough to satisfy consumers?

UPDATE: It has been confirmed. He is fired.

    Speaking of Parenting.

So I was just outside with my 2 kids. My oldest was riding her bike, and my youngest was with me. I'm in the process of teaching her how to use her pedals on her little Radio Flyer Trike. She's almost 2 and prefers to just sit down and walk along on her 3 wheeler.
My oldest was riding her bike on the other side of our Apartment Complex, so my youngest and I started heading that way. As I started getting closer I could hear this Woman yelling. Once I was close enough, I was able to make out the words, and boy was she going off! Here's this 30 something Woman yelling at a 3-4 year old girl like she's a grown ass Lady! Bullshit About Nothing this lady is mad because the little kid left the sidewalk and was playing in the parking lot. Me being a parent, I would too get mad if my kid was playing in the parking lot. I would scream at her. But would I call her names like this woman was using? NO! Her favorite words included "Bitch" "Stupid Bitch" Fucking Retard" and "Stupid Cunt".
I just dont think some people should have kids.

Dad Beats Daughters For Making A Twerk Video. Was He Right Or Wrong?

Yesterday while I was going through Youtube videos, I came across one of a Dad beating the shit out of his daughters(14 & 12) with a extension cord. This video is very disturbing to watch but I will post it for you to view.
I wanna know what you all think of this man. A lot of people are saying he did the right thing. Some want him in prison. What do you think?
    (Images: LiveLeak screenshots)
UPDATE: Daughters say they were beat because they snuck out of the house.

Heres the back story that I've gathered. Supposable the father found videos that were posted to facebook on his oldest (14) computer. The video shows both girls "Twerking". For those of you that dont know what "Twerking" is. Its a very sexualy dance. A woman dances by shaking her hips and butt. Its the #1 dance move for strippers (Followed by "The Leg Shake" and "Spider Walk").
The video starts with the father saying "Im gonna beat that ass!". He then grabs his youngest daughter (12) and gives her 7-8 slashes. He then tells her "Get over there". The Oldest daughter(14) starts walking towards her dad, and he starts swinging away! This is were it starts getting real disturbing. He starts hitting her right across her legs, full swing. The child is heard screaming "Daddy Im sorry, Daddy Im Sorry!" and the Dad responds "You think Im gonna play with your ass. You think Im playing. You think its sweet MOTHERFUCKER". This is way past "Normal Spanking" this is full blown BATTERY! The oldest daughter got the worst of it (12 hits, and they are on her legs, thighs, back, stomach, face).

World Star Hiphop posted the video titled "Good Or Horrible Parenting!? Father Catches His Daughter Doing A Twerk Video On FB & Goes Ham!" Their description was:
"Father punishes his daughters by whooping them with a cable wire after finding out they did a twerk video on Facebook. Good parenting or did he take it too far?"
    Greg Horn

The father Greg Horn(35) was arrested on April 5th and was charged with Child Endangerment & Corporal Punishment. According to the 2 girls, their father beat them for sneaking out of the house. You can read more about it here.

Again, this video is very disturbing. It is not suitable for anyone under 18. Viewer discretion is advised

This guy think kids being beat is funny. Whats crazy is there are 100's of videos like this one

A lot of people thinks Greg Horn did the right thing. But they also think he beat his kids because they were making a "Twerk" video. But the kids say the got beat because they snuck out of the house. Whats your thoughts. Leave a comment.

    Living in "Tornado Alley"

I've lived in Oklahoma for about 8 years now. I came here after leaving prison. I moved in with my parents, who lived in Norman at the time. Its a "College Town" with around 100,000 people(A little higher when schools in).
My first experience with "Tornado Alley" was in 20007. Its was May 8th. I was in El Reno with a friend. It was the first time I ever saw a Tornado It was only a EF1 but it still scared the shit out of me! The Tornado was covered in rain, but the noise was intense. It really is hard to explain.
People here in Oklahoma, especially the "Lifers"(Lived here their whole life) are use to Tornados. Most of the time they dont even leave the couch. Not me. After living through Katrina, I dont play.
My 2nd Tornado I got to see up close and personal. April 13th was the day I had to go to Traffic Court/Police Building for a speeding ticket. When I showed up it was cloudy out but it didn't look that bad. While I was inside the building waiting to be called, I noticed the Bailiff go over to the Judge and whisper in her ear. She got wide eyed and then told us "We are under a Tornado warning, everyone please leave, and seek shelter". Well, I jumped up and bolted for the door. My 2 kids were at Daycare and I wanted to pick them up because I thought they would be safer with me. I ran to my car, and jumped in, started up, and started driving towards my kids daycare center. Before I even left the Police parking lot, the Tornado(EF1) was on top of me(Click link to see video from Police Security Cameras). Visabilty was terriable. I couldnt see shit but trash cans and trees flying by. But as soon as it started, it quit. That was the day I learned you really can "Scare the piss" out of someone. I ended up picking up my girls, and we had "Daddy Daughter day".
On May 20th we had our biggest tornado to date. I wasn't in this one(Thank God) but a lot of my friends were. Moores only 5 minutes away. My wife and I were both home, watching the News. We saw the Tornado forming, and at first it didn't seem like it would be a big deal. We even thought about getting in our car to try and catch up to it and tape it. But then it started getting bigger and bigger. We watched it on TV go from this little thing to a massive 2 mile wide MONSTER(Click to watch it from into an EF5!As soon as it was over we jumped into our car and started heading to Moore. We knew the highway was hit so we decided to take Sooner Road. Once we got past Indian Hills Road we started seeing debris all over the place. It looked like someone took a house, put it in a huge blender and then threw it everywhere. We ended up coming back home because traffic was crazy.
The next day a friend of mine asked if I would come help her with cleaning up debris. Her house was right behind Warren Theater. It was leveled. While we were cleaning we ended up finding her cat. She(Kitty) was under a table in where the kitchen use to be. She was scared but other than that she was fine.
    Sifting Through The Rubble

One of the things that really makes me mad is how I keep hearing on the news, and talk shows how we should all be better prepared  We should all have storm shelters. Most of us cant afford it. We dont have an extra $5k laying around. But thats for another blog I guess. Leaving in "Tornado Alley" isn't that bad. As long as the Tornados leave you alone.
